Jean Kjos

Jean C. Kjos, age 87, of Hastings, passed away at Regions Hospital on March 18, 2011. She was born July 20, 1923 to Thomas and Anna Highet in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She married Kenneth Kjos in Edmonton, Alberta on March 1, 1947. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; and her parents. She is survived by sons, Bruce (Lori) Kjos of Key West, FL; Thomas (Gigi) Kjos of Manhattan, KS; Robert (Tammy) Kjos of Knob Noster, MO; daughters, Karen (Bob) Werner of Vermillion; Kristine Kiefer of Hastings; and Betty (Charles) Snyder of Leawood, KS; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Marge) Highet of Brooks, Alberta, Canada; and other relatives and friends. Memorial Service, Friday (3/25), 2:00 p.m., at Our Saviour's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 W. 9th St., Hastings. Gathering 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment Lakeside Cemetery.
