Janice L. Hargadine

Janice Ley Hargadine (nee Faber) of Oakdale, born in Cherokee, IA, passed away suddenly Monday, May 26, 2014 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband Dale; children Jo Johnson, Scott Zimmerman, Chris (Rachel) Zimmerman and Lisa (James) Semlak; brothers Andy and Don Faber; granchildren Kristen and Elise Johnson, Kyle Zimmerman, Matthew Semlak and Grier Zimmerman. Jan was an avid gardener, operated Interiors for Living for 26 years and was known for her interior designs. She delighted in her grandchildren, nurturing them and shaping their lives. Jan participated in Bible studies all of her adult life. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Kelli Weiss will be held 11 AM Monday, June 2 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St, Hastings with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings. The pallbearers are Chris Zimmerman, Scott Zimmerman, Matthew Semlak and James Semlak; honorary pallbearers are Andrew Faber and Donald Faber.
