Janice J. Burr

Janice J. Burr, age 73, of Hastings died unexpectedly July 17, 2009 at her Hastings home. Janice was born October 20, 1935 to parents Francis J. Agnes M. (Doffing) Dummer in Hastings. They preceded her in death. She was formerly employed at First National Bank in St. Paul and was a homemaker. She was also a member at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.Janice was a Hastings High School graduate, class of 1953. She married Lawrence "Larry" Burr on August 9, 1958 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings.She is survived by her husband Larry, a son Jeff his wife Lorie, grandchildren Jeff and Amanda, siblings Gordon Dummer of Long Beach, CA, Eugene "Ebo" Dummer of Hastings, Fr. Donald J. Dummer, OMI of St. Paul and Mary Lorentz of New Trier.A visitation will be held Monday, July 20, 2009 from 5-8 pm at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E Seventh St. Hastings, and also 1 hour prior to the funeral Tuesday at the church.The Funeral Mass will be 10 am Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 Fifteenth St. W. in Hastings. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery.
