Janet Marie Wilson

Janet Marie Wilson, age 89 of Eagan, passed away on December 13, 2025. Janet was born in Northfield, Minnesota on April 16, 1936, to Oliver and Clara Sletten. She graduated from Northfield High School in 1954.

She married Arlen Wilson on August 18, 1957, and began their life in Crosby-Ironton, Minnesota. Janet, Arlen, and daughter, Susan, moved to West St. Paul in 1960, where they remained for 35 years, raising their four children. Janet and Arlen moved to Apple Valley, where they lived until Arlen’s passing in 2019.

Janet spent the last 5 years of her life living at and actively involved in her Eagan Pointe Community. She deeply loved her family and cherished time spent with family and friends. She was actively involved in her church, where she volunteered faithfully, and she found great joy in her community at Eagan Point.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arlen; her parents, Oliver and Clara; and brother, John Sletten.

Janet is survived by her children, Susan (Doug) Hopfner, Nancy (Steve) Bauernfeind, Andrea (Greg) Mandel, and Daniel (Kathy) Wilson; grandchildren, Jacob, Maggie, Abbie, Katie, Matthew, Alexia, Drew, Rose, and Ben; and great-grandchildren, Ory, Bode, Iris, Lucy, JoLee, Evie, and Lyla.

Janet’s Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Apple Valley, Minnesota, followed by a gathering in the Fellowship Hall. Desserts will be provided following the service, and all are welcome to continue celebrating Janet’s life.
