Janean M. Milliren

Janean M. Milliren, age 54 of Hastings, died peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday morning, December 25, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family. Janean Marie was born August 20, 1962, in Tracy, MN, to Lawrence and Virginia (Meyer) Dobias. She moved to Hastings at a young age, and graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1981. Following high school, Janean received her dental assistant degree from Lakeland Community College. She then married Dr. Michael Milliren on April 26, 1986, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Hastings; Janean and Mike had a devoted and very loving marriage. They owned Milliren Family Dentistry in Hastings and enjoyed being able to work together on a regular basis. Janeans faith and family were very important to her. She maintained a very positive outlook throughout life and always cared for others more than for herself. Janean is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Mike Milliren of Hastings; her children, Chris (Emily) Milliren, Brad (Alyssa) Milliren and Maddie Milliren; parents, Lawrence and Virginia Dobias of Hastings; siblings, Mike (Theresa) Dobias of Lakeville, Joan (Bud) Bullivant of Milaca, MN, Mark (Lisa) Dobias of Lino Lakes, MN and Kevin (Peg) Dobias of Rosemount; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016, at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Miesville, with Father Terry Beeson officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and will continue 1 hour prior to the funeral on Thursday morning, ALL AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, Janeans family requests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society or to the Donors Choice in her memory.
