Age 62, of Lakeville, passed away on June 29, 2013. Jim devoted 35 years of his life to law enforcement before retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carol & Warren and his grandparents. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cheryl; his children, Ryan (Lori) and Kimberly (Trevor) Pope; brother, Tom (Shellie); sister, Karen (Rich) Oorlog; nieces, nephews and friends. Jim was a loving husband and father with a fabulous sense of humor. Funeral services for Jim will be held on Wednesday, July 3 at 11:00 AM at Hosanna! Lutheran Church, 9600 163rd St. W., Lakeville, with his visitation Tuesday, July 2 from 6-8 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th & Garrett Ave., Apple Valley and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Private family interment Sunset Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace.
