James "Tanny" Erwin

Lt. Col. James Figley Erwin USAF (Ret), 84, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2005 in his home in Eagan, MN. Preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Edna (Figley) Erwin; sister, Edith (Chuck) Frese and brother, Robert (Bob) Erwin, all of Aliquippa, PA. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mildred (Shaddock) Erwin, Eagan, MN; daughter, Kerri (Bill) Green, Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren, Pam and Brian Baldwin, Burnsville, MN; sister, Janet (Chuck) Caldwell, Aliquippa, PA; brother, Dick (Marlee) Erwin, Boalsburg, PA; and sister-in-law, Mildred (Paul) Erwin. Born and raised in Hopewell Township, PA, served our country for 25 years in the Coast Guard (WWII) and US Air Force (Lt. Col. Ret.). On retirement from the Air Force in 1970, he became a real estate broker and custom home builder for 25+ years in Bellevue, NE. Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2005, 2:00 PM at Henry W. Anderson Funeral Home in Apple Valley, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Reception following at Keystone Communities of Eagan. Memorials preferred to Fairview Home Care & Hospice.
