James T. Brown

James T. Brown, age 87, of Hastings died August 15, 2011 at the Regina Medical Center. James was born February 4, 1924 in St. Paul to Thomas and Marie (Fitzgerald) Brown. He attended Rosemount schools and had served in the U.S.Navy. He married Marie Rischette on November 23, 1946 in Hastings, was co-owner of Brown�s Flowers, and had retired after 38 years with 3-M in 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Marie.James is survived by his children Judy (Butch) Eggert, Pat Brown, Mike (Nancy) Brown, and Stephanie (Dave) Nyman all of Hastings; grandchildren Jim (Pam) Eggert, Joe (Sue) Eggert, Jenna, Krista, and Kayla Nyman, Stephen and Alyssa Brown; great-grandchildren Danny, Sierra, Maddie, and Sheymus; sister Bette Church of California. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke will be held at 11am on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings with visitation two hours prior to the service. Interment with military honors provided by the Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210 will follow in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are Butch Eggert, Dave Nyman, Jim Eggert, Joe Eggert, Stephen Brown, and Duane Pufpaff; honorary pallbearers are his four granddaughters.
