James R. Serres

James Richard Serres, age 46, of Chandler, AZ, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 7, 2009. James was born July 7, 1963 in Hastings to Fredrick and Ilse (Schuster) Serres. He was a 1981 graduate of Hastings High School. James moved to Arizona in his early 20�s and made his home there. He was self employed and an avidsports fan. He was preceded in death by his mother Ilse Serres. James is survived by his son Justin Serres, daughter Nicole Serres, and grandson Jordan Serres, all of Arizona; father Fredrick Serres, sister Connie (Jarvis) Jackson, and brother John (Rhonda) Serres, all of Hastings; nieces Angela and Kellie Jackson; and nephews Benjamin Jackson and Andrew Serres. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 10AM-Noon Saturday, December 19, 2009, concluding with a prayer service, officiated by Rev. Allan Paul Eilen, at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings. Memorials are preferred.
