James O. Wolner

James O. Wolner, of Welch, MN, died Friday, October 5, 2007 at Regina Medical Center in Hastings. He was born August 2, 1929 at Butterfield, MN to Oliver and Ruth (Mossengren) Wolner. He attended and graduated from Butterfield Schools. He attended Mankato State University as well as the University of Minnesota, graduating with his MBA. He married Jeanette Havemeier on December 28, 1950 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the owner and operator of his own business which built grain silos. He was a veteran of the US Army serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He is survived by his wife Jeanette of Welch, four children Theresa Wolner of Minneapolis, Debra (John) Wassman of Ormsby, MN, Tom (Peggy) Wolner of Red Wing, Jeffrey Wolner of Apple Valley, MN; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Joyce Wolner of St. James, Joan Bagley of Bloomington, Gene Wolner of Marshall, MN, Germain Johnson of Trimont, MN, Janet Lee of Richfield, MN, Jane Mary Bergeman of Madelia, MN, John Wolner of Trimont, MN, Gary Wolner of St. James, MN, Richard Wolner of Fairmont, MN, Stephen Wolner of New Hampshire, Mark Wolner of Cottage Grove and Rebecca Chalin of St. James, MN.��������������������������������� He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Joel and Robert Wolner. ����������� Visitation for James O. Wolner is Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from 6-8 pm at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. 7th St., Hastings and also 1 hour prior to the funeral at the church. The funeral service is Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 11 am at Our Saviour�s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 West 9th Street, Hastings. Interment will follow with military honors provided by the Hastings VFW Post� 1210 at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings. ����������� The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers.
