James Jordan Amireault

James Jordan Amireault, 80, of Apple Valley, passed away Sunday surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 16, 1934 in Minneapolis to Albert J. and Agnes Margaret Amireault. James is survived by his daughters Lisabeth (Gary) Roers, Julie MacRae, and Jamie (Steve) Taylor, sons Joseph (Shireen Garrison), Thomas, and Patrick Amireault, grandchildren Daniel, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Shannon, Abby, Nick, Ryan, Tre, Jordyn, and Michelle, sisters Nancy and Kathy McNamee, plus other loving relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret, and granddaughter Laura. James was truly a positive man of devout faith who loved his family above all else. “God has given me a good life”. James was a Charter Member of American Legion Post #1776 and the Church of The Risen Savior, as well as volunteering at the Minnesota Zoo. He will be forever loved and treasured. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday, October 10 at the Church of the Risen Savior, 1501 East County Road 42, Burnsville, with a Gathering of Family and Friends 1 hour prior. Private Inurnment with Honors will be Monday, October 13 in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
