James J. Herkenratt

James J. Herkenratt, age 80, of Hastings, passed away October 18, 2021. He was born on November 23, 1940 in Hastings to Catherine (Majeski) and Joseph "Lonce" Herkenratt. Jim worked for 3M and retired in 2000 after 38 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Joan Jacobson. Jim is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughters, Christine Herkenratt and Lynn (Scott) Gundlach; grandson, Jackson; step daughter, Shelly Reeves; sister, Jean (Zach) Taran; and brother, Kevin (Bev) Herkenratt; and many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 4:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St. in Hastings. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
