James H. Kreig

James Henry Kreig, a lifelong resident of Hastings, was born Sept. 15, 1933 and passed away November 30, 2011 at Prescott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Jim was a proud Korean War veteran and worked for Armour's for 25 years. He was preceded in death his parents; brothers, Herman and Francis; and nephew, Bobby. Jim is survived by his sister, Gen (Ron) Hamann of Missouri; children, Susan (Carl) Rehm; Nancy; and James Jr. (Connie); and 3 grandchildren. Jim will also be sadly missed his loving partner and caregiver, Carol Estrada. A Celebration of Jim's Life, officiated by Pastor Jim Bzoskie, will be held on Monday (12/5) at 2:00p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. There will be a Visitation from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A lunch for family and friends will follow the funeral. Private Interment St. Luke's Cemetery, Hastings.
