“Whitey”

Age 89 of South Minneapolis, born March 1, 1932 to Edward and Ovidia Herberg, peacefully passed away at home April 25, 2021.

Jim graduated from South High in Minneapolis and loved living here. He enjoyed going golfing with friends, watching the Twins and dancing. He was truly the life of the party.

He was stationed in Guam, proudly serving in the U. S. Air Force during Korea.

Jim was a proud Brick Layer and Stone Mason and was a life member of BAC Local #1 MN/ND/SD.

He is preceded in death by his wife Joann; son, Jeffrey; brothers: Vern, Ken and Bobby and sister, Violet.

Jim will be dearly missed by his son, David (Jody Woods); grandchildren: Katie (Michael) Berens, Landon Woods and Taylor (Derrick) Benz; great-granddaughter, Georgia Benz and many friends.

Jim will be laid to rest with his wife, Joann at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery following a private graveside service with military honors.
