Jacklyn "Jackie" Rosendahl

Jacklyn "Jackie" Rosendahl, age 77 of Hastings, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday morning, February 24, 2026.

Jacklyn Sue, the daughter of Oscar and Harriet (Telford) Onsager, was born on November 26, 1948, in Decorah, Iowa. Following her graduation from high school, Jackie was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" Rosendahl on June 7, 1968, in Decorah. With Jerry's dedication to the Air Force and Fire Service career, they moved around regularly, all while Jackie enjoyed working at various locations and raising their two daughters, Tina and Tammi. After settling in the Hastings area, Jackie briefly worked for Dakota County, Norwest Bank in Owatonna, and later as an administrative assistant with the Minnesota State Lottery Office in Owatonna until her retirement in 2008.

Jackie had a passion for reading, making her own greeting cards for countless family members and friends to enjoy, and her highly anticipated rhyming Christmas cards. Throughout life, Jackie and Jerry also enjoyed camping with friends and family. She loved nothing more than to sit around a campfire, the simple times of enjoying nature, and having a good hotdog over the fire. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren whenever she could, and especially enjoyed the countless times of making Lefse and baking cookies.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her great grandchild, Oakley Turner.

Jackie is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Jerry; daughters, Tina (RJ) Schmitz and Tammi (Mike) Brochman; grandchildren, Lizzy (Arriana) Reinardy, AJ Reinardy, Jake (Kate Barsness) Reinardy, Jessica (Corey) Turner, Holly (Matt) Broich, Noah (Maria) Goetzke, and Max Brochman; great grandchildren, Leon Reinardy, Penelope Broich, and Preston Broich; sister, Judy (Bruce) Hamilton; and nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Jackie's Life will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings.
