Jack William Metcalf, age 70, of Rosemount, MN, joined the Lord and his parents on December 29, 2017, after passing from natural causes. The eldest child of Melvin and Dorothy Metcalf, Jack was born on January 3, 1947 in International Falls, MN. As a young boy, he excelled in academics and enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family. At 15, he began dating the love of his life and future wife, Cindy. Jack graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Business and soon after entered the Air Force as a ROTC graduate. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War, and received the Bronze Star for his meritorious service. Passionate about aviation, Jack obtained his private pilot license and loved flying recreationally. For the past 10 years, he was a storeowner of Fan Man Lighting, in Apple Valley, MN. To say he was loved by his family and friends would be an understatement. We miss you greatly. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughter, Beth (Todd) Collett; sons, Jack Jr. and Jeffrey (Rachel); grandchildren, Alexander, Zachary, Olivia, Naomi and Liliana; great grandchildren, Annie and Allie; sister, Cindy (Larry) Jamieson and many other dear family members and friends. Funeral service is at 11 am on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary in Apple Valley, 14850 Garrett Ave. Visitation one-hour prior. Interment following the service at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
