John J. 'Jack' age 77 of Hampton passed away Dec. 30, 2007. A retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the Carpenters and Joiners Union, Local 87. He was married to Alonza Kieffer May 28, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Mary Alonza; granddaughter, Rachel and sister, Loretta Frandrup. Survived by wife of 54 years Alonza Raway; children, Mike Raway of Nashville, TN; Linda (Douglas) Kuplic of Inver Grove Heights; Patti (Wayne) Beissel of Hastings; Tom (Sharon) Raway of Hastings; Kevin (Laurie) Raway of Cannon Falls; Jeff (Brandie) Raway of Hastings; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Harold (Ann) Raway of Vermillion; other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday (1/3) 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier. Visitation Wednesday (1/2) from 4:00 pm €“ 8:00 pm at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings and 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment St. Mathias Cemetery in Hampton. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Association.
