Jack D. Gunderson, age 69, of Hastings died November 19, 2011 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Jack was born February 11, 1942 in Brookings, South Dakota to Clarence Margaret (Berg) Gunderson. He married Carolyn Sue Evans on August 22, 1959 in California. Jack enjoyed watching sports and playing cards especially baseball and cribbage. He also was a volunteer for many community events with the Lion�s club and delivered Meal on Wheels. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother Richard �Dick� Gunderson. He is survived by his children Candy (Rick) Hanken of Prescott, WI, Jackie Olson of Eagan, Dwayne Gunderson of Hastings and Joy (Bryon) Suski of Hastings; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and sisters Joanne Nolte and Teresa White. The memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E.Seventh Street, Hastings. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. The visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
