Irma M. (Marschall) Bogdan

Irma M. (Marschall) Bogdan, age 90, of Hastings, formerly of Illinois, died Sunday evening, August 12, 2018 at Regina Assisted Living in Hastings, MN. Irma M. Marschall, was born January 14, 1928 in St. Paul, MN to Joseph P. and Frances C. (Kasel) Marschall. Irma was a graduate of Good Counsel High School and St. Louis University. She was married to Robert F. Bogdan, October 7, 1972 at St. Constance Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. She and Robert enjoyed ballroom dancing and roller skating together. Irma was a Physical Therapist for many years. She was an active volunteer at Regina, which became her home in 2011 after Robert passed away. In her earlier years, Irma enjoyed being a mentor to younger Physical Therapists. Irma is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, a sister Mary Ann Karnick, brothers Joseph A. and George F. Marschall. Irma is survived by her sisters Madonna Mary (Clifford) Larsen, Monica Passero and Frances J. (Alan) Rawlings; a sister-in-law Anna Mae Marschall, and by several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Martin Siebenaler, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2018 at Regina Chapel, 1175 Nininger Rd., Hastings. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, IL. In lieu of flowers, Irmas family kindly requests memorials be designated to the Tabitha Memory Care Unit at Regina in Hastings. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
