Age 78, of Apple Valley.

Artist, Adventuress and Book Lover. Iris grew up in Hibbing, Minnesota, later moving to California where she graduated from the University of California at Riverside. Preceded in death by parents, Eino and Mary Manninen and brother, David Manninen. Survived by brother, Dennis (Jean) Manninen; Children , Lynn Wiitala, Bill (Kathy) Kantos, Julie Kantos and Rachelle (Jim) Leigh; grandchildren , Johnny Wiitala, Kelly Allard, Kimberly Kantos, Christopher Kantos, Stephanie Whitlock and Steven Osterman; great grandsons, Lochlan, Felix and Mason. Iris’ memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 14th at 1pm at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service in the mortuary.
