Ione M. Kjos

Ione M. Kjos, age 80 of Hastings died October 13, 2011 at her home. Ione was born March 30, 1931 in Spring Valley, MN to George and Mildred (Cool) Brunell. She was a graduate of St. Paul Park High School and married Donald C. Kjos in Reno, NV on June 21, 1951. Prior to her retirement, Ione had worked as adietitian with Mississippi Terrace, Dakota County Courthouse, and the Mayo Clinic. She formerly owned the Hiawatha Bar Caf� in Kellogg, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Don in 1997; daughters Patty and Jody; and her brother Ken. Ione is survived by daughters Diana McInerny of Jordan, MN and Donna Kjos-Lica of Maplewood; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Phillip Brunell and sister Karen Englund. The Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Doug Duin will be held 11AM Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Our Saviour�s Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 W. Ninth St., Hastings with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings.
