Herman B. Hundere

Hundere, Herman B. age 89, died February 11, 2008 in South Bend, IN, born January 27, 1919 in Mpls., to Hans & Bertha (Olsen Larson) Hundere. He was a decorated Army Veteran, serving his country in WWII. Herman moved to South Bend, IN in 1964 to serve as an architectural engineer, managing many projects at the University of Notre Dame including the Athletic and Convocation Center, as well as supervising the construction of the South Bend Clinic and the Downtown Marriott Hotel in South Bend. In retirement he was an avid traveler, making trips across the country and around the world. Herman married Billie Hunt on April 24, 1954 in South Bend. He was preceded in death by his wife, and sister, Hjordis Loge. Herman is survived by his four children, Michael Hundere & wife, Linda of Rochester, Carol Hundere & husband, Gordon Allen of Costa Mesa, CA, KC Hundere & wife, Susan of Phoenix, AZ and Suzanne Stockman & husband, John of South Bend, IN; his brother, Erling Hundere and sister, Dagny Asleson, both of Mpls.; 8 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. Funeral Service Tuesday 1 PM, Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S. Visitation Monday 5-8 PM at the mortuary and one hour prior to service. Interment Ft. Snelling.
