Helen C. McDonald (Claffey), age 90, passed away January 20, 2013. Helen was born March 5, 1922.Preceded in death by husband, Herbert J. McDonald; sisters, June Hammerschmidt and May Landman. Survived by daughter, Patricia of Hastings; son, James (Christie) McDonald; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Father Cole Kracke, will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th Street West in Hastings. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at church. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.The Wise Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
