Helen L. Allgor, (nee Welch) age 81, of Hastings died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Helen was born July 7, 1932 in Hastings to Russell and Rose (Loesch) Welch. She was a 1950 graduate of Hastings High School. She married Conrad Redding December 25, 1951 in Hastings. She and Conrad made their home in many places including Minnesota, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina and Louisiana, where they retired. She was a homemaker and a waitress prior to retirement. In 2002 Conrad died and Helen married Lester Allgor September 22, 2006 and they resided in Hastings. She loved to travel, tend to her garden or any activity which would allow her to be out in the warm sunshine. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Conrad and a granddaughter Celia Coignard. She is survived by her husband Les, her children Lynn (Keith) Nicks of Jordan, MN; Mark (Gayle) Redding of Prescott, WI; Dave (Rosie) Redding of Pillager, MN; Thomas Redding of Cheyenne, WY; James (Deborah Wood) Redding of Terrell, NC; Robert (Deborah Helms) Redding of Monroe, NC; 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren as well as one great great grandchild; 2 step children Ron Allgor of Hastings and Julie (Greg) Schoen of Princeton, MN; sisters Lois Drometer of Greensboro, NC and Janice (Gordy) Cran of Balsam Lake, WI; a brother Harry (Karen Elliott) Welch of Hastings. Memorial service will be 11 AM Thursday May 8, 2014 at Our Saviours Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 W. Ninth St. Hastings with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings.
