Heidi Margaret Bianconi

Heidi Margaret Bianconi, age 50 of Rosemount, Minnesota, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

Heidi was born in Farmington, Minnesota to Walter and Elizabeth Haussner on October 27, 1974. She was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend, wife, and mother. She touched the lives of so many with her wonderful sense of humor, creativity, quick wit, and fun-loving nature. Heidi was a friend to everyone she met.

She attended Apple Valley High School and graduated in 1993. Heidi went on to earn a degree in Education from the University of North Dakota, followed by a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota. Teaching was more than a career for Heidi—it was her calling. She dedicated her life to it, spending 25 years teaching. She spent her first 15 years at Bruce Vento Elementary School teaching students with emotional and behavioral challenges, and the last 10 years at Deerwood Elementary School teaching second-graders. Any student lucky enough to have had her as a teacher was met with warmth, creativity, and a genuine love of learning.

She loved spending time on the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers, boating with family and friends. She had a great talent for cooking, loved relaxing on tropical beaches, and was always her son Drew’s biggest fan at his hockey games.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to M Health Fairview Cancer Institute in Burnsville.

Heidi is survived by her husband, Daniel; son, Andrew; parents, Walter and Elizabeth Haussner; sister, Heather Mather (Gus); brother, Ted Haussner (Bekah); aunts and uncle, Rosemarie Koerth, Margaret Torrie, and Jim Torrie; father and mother-in-law Tony and Shelia Bianconi; brothers-in-law, Patrick (Cynthia) and Brad (Tara); sister-in-law, Lara (Brandon); cousins, Andrew, Jonathan and Jeff Koerth and Melanie Torrie; nieces and nephews, Jack, Annika, Jonah, Marco, Samuel, Dimitri, Makayla, Mylee, Declan, and Nicolai; and by her beloved cat, Fiona.

A Celebration of Heidi's Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held also at the funeral home.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9 2025, and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday, all at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
