Harry P. Schoen

Harry P. Schoen, a longtime Hastings area attorney who retired in 2008, died Sunday, January 25, 2009. Harry was born March 19, 1931 in Kranzburg, SD to John G. and Lenore L. (Haan) Schoen. He was a graduate of Hastings High School, received his B.S. degree from Winona State and taught school, thenearned his Juris Doctorate from the William Mitchell College of Law and practiced law.Harry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his 2 sons, Sam (Stephanie) Schoen of Davis, CA, and Casey (Mary) Schoen of Minnetonka; his daughterMolly Schoen of Minneapolis; and 4 grandchildren, Peyton, Sawyer, Ellery,and Bennett; also his sister Elizabeth �Betty� Houle of Forest Lake.The Funeral Mass for Harry P. Schoen will be held at 10am Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035Fifteenth St. W., Hastings. The visitation will be held from 4-8pm Wednesday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, and also 1 hour prior to the service at church on Thursday.
