Harriet Leifeld

Harriet Agnes Leifeld, age 96, of Hastings, passed away September 19, 2010 at Regina Nursing Home. Harriet was born July 24, 1914 in Hastings to Tyler and Mathilda Lovejoy. She married Nicholas Leifeld at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Hastings on August 16, 1939. Harriet is preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas; sisters, Blanche Lovejoy and Eleanor Langenfeld; brothers, Walter and Kenneth Lovejoy; son-in-law, Leo Lindeman. She is survived by her children, Charles (Mary Beth) Leifeld of Stillwater; Tony (Norma) Leifeld of Pequot Lakes; Mary Gwen Leifeld (Matt Sell) of St. Paul; Barb Lindeman of St. Paul; Ginny (Jack) Thomas of Hastings; and Paul (Kathy) Leifeld of Hastings; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Jim Perkl, will be Friday (9/24), 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W.15th St., Hastings. Visitation will be Thursday (9/23) from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings and 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment is in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Steve Leifeld; Greg Leifeld; Matt Leifeld; Michael Thomas; David Leifeld; and Brett Lindeman. Memorials preferred to the Regina Hospital Auxiliary or the Dakota County 4H Federation. The Wise Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
