Harriet “Lynn” Biedenbender, age 66, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Regina Hospital in Hastings.
Lynn was born on February 5, 1959, in Gallatin, Tennessee, to Harry and Carolyn Faye Franklin. She grew up in Minnesota and graduated with the Edina East High School Class of 1977. She later married the love of her life, David Biedenbender, and together they built a family filled with love, laughter, and strong traditions.
Throughout her career, Lynn worked as a nurse in oncology and later in healthcare insurance. Caring for others came naturally to her, both in her professional life and at home—especially as she lovingly cared for David during his battle with cancer.
Lynn had a sharp wit and a wonderful sense of humor. She was quick with sarcasm, loved to laugh, and brought a spark of joy wherever she went. Family meant everything to her. She never missed sending a birthday card, loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and cherished every moment with those she loved.
She also had a few passions all her own. Lynn enjoyed the excitement of the slot machines, knew nearly everything about the NFL—earning the family nickname “NFL Central”—and never shied away from a good conversation about politics.
Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Faye; her husband, David; and her brother, Harry Jr. She is survived by her children, Trish (Jeff) Cerny, Jackie (Tristan) Barton, Anne (Mike) Mertes, and Todd Biedenbender; grandchildren, Trinity, Christian, Preston, Nyx, Ella, and Ben; great-grandchild, Jax; siblings, Jeanine (Joe) and Jim (Peggy); as well as many beloved relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are with Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel.
