Harold A. Fasbender

Harold A. Fasbender, age 75 of Hastings, died peacefully at Red Wing Healthcare Community on Friday afternoon, April 14, 2017, following a brief illness. Harold A., the son of Leo and Frances (Rock) Fasbender, was born on June 13, 1941, in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Following his education, Harold began helping his family members farm and loved every minute of it. He was an avid Minnesota sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Twins and Vikings. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his siblings, Virginia Schommer, June Kordosky, Rose Marie Young, Audrey Fasbender, and Merlin Fasbender. Harold is survived by his sister-in-law, Helen Fasbender of Hastings; his many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; and by many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at St. Marys-Big River in rural River Falls, Wisconsin, with interment following in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at church for one hour prior to Mass on Tuesday morning. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services of Hastings.
