Gregory J. Swanson

Gregory J. Swanson, age 70, of Hastings, passed away January 14, 2022. Preceded in death by parents, Bob and Myra Swanson. Survived by daughter, Sarah Miska; son, Robert Swanson; stepson, Thomas Reinardy; grandchildren, Kayley Miska and Tyson Miska; siblings, Brooks (Linda) Swanson and Carol Swanson (Ross Petterson); former spouse, Sharon Swanson; stepmother, Sandy Swanson and longtime girlfriend, Camille Sylvis; and many other relatives and friends. Greg was an excellent golfer, excelling in high school and the 'almost' pro mini tour. He continued to try and be a Twins and Viking fan, but like a lot of Minnesotans, became somewhat disillusioned with their lack of winning. He liked Las Vegas, horse racing, poker and sports betting, if you were able to ask him right now how he was doing, he would say he was 'even'. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St. in Hastings, A visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment following at Lakeside Cemetery. Friends and family are cordially invited to a reception from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hastings Public House. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
