Gregory "Gregg" Myers

Gregory “Gregg” Myers, age 69 of Apple Valley, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2024. Gregg was born on October 23, 1955 in Blue Earth, MN to Bill and Audrey Myers.

Gregg started working when he was 12 years old and was a hard worker all his life. He graduated in the class of 1974. After graduation he managed a Country Kitchen in Eagan. Together with Deb he purchased the Dairy Inn in Cannon Falls. After 8 years and 3 wonderful boys he decided to go back to school. He attended Dakota County Technical College for accounting. He couldn't find the right job so with Deb they bought Barbario Cheese and Deli in Bloomington. After 6 years it was time to make a career change. He worked at Skyline Display in Eagan until retirement. He enjoyed watching the stock market every day and loved to update his spreadsheets.

Gregg loved to garden on our deck, watch eagles at the lake, take day trips to small towns, feed hummingbirds in summer and cardinals in the winter, visit with our sons, grandkids, and daughters-in-law. Gregg loved good food, and we spent weekends at many restaurants. He always looked forward to trips to Blue Earth for reunions or just to see a familiar face. He loved to talk to his brothers on the phone. He is so dearly missed.

Preceded in death by his son, Nathan; parents, Bill & Audrey; father-in-law, Jim Olson; and brother-in-law, Steve Olson. Survived by loving wife of 47 years, Deb; sons, Dan (Angie) and Chris (Brie); grandsons, Dylan and Derek; brothers, Charles (Brenda) and Mark (Lori); mother-in-law, Mary Olson; brother-in-law, Dave (Deb) Olson; sisters-in-law, Kari (Jim) Kiehne and Kim (Rich) Rud; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Per Gregg’s wish no funeral services will take place at this time, but a Celebration of Life will held in the future.
