Gloria Ann Trejo

GLORIA ANN (VERDUZCO) TREJO, age 82, passed away on November 3, 2019 in North Dakota. She was born on February 19, 1937 to Ramon & Aurelia Reyes Verduzco on the west side of St. Paul, Minnesota. She was one of seven children, three girls and four boys: Esther, Gloria, Rachel, Robert, Michael, Mario and Richard, many relatives & friends. Gloria resided in Minnesota until she and her husband of 65 years, Andrew moved to Texas. She has 7 children Yolanda, Ronnie, Sharon, David (David passed away on August 21, 2019), Victor, Steve (Steve passed away on April 17, 2022) and Lisa. Gloria has 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Gloria spent her childhood years cleaning at a motel in St. Paul. During her latter years, she worked at Viking Drill and Tool, Gross Givings Manufacturing, Trejo Welding. In August 1982, Gloria and Chico moved to Onamia, Minnesota and purchased a restaurant and bar named Chico’s‘s place on Highway 169. Gloria spent the past several years in South Dakota during warm months with daughter Lisa and son-in-law Kim. Gloria went to Strasburg Care Center in the fall of 2017. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chico; brother, Michael; sister, Esther, grandson Jose; granddaughter, Anna; and son, David. She is survived by her children Yolanda (Art) Elizondo of California, Ronnie (Deb) of Apple Valley, MN, Sharon of Texas, Victor (Lori) of Texas; Steven (Elizabeth), Lisa (Kim) of South Dakota; brothers, Robert Verduzco (Janan) of Las Vegas, Richard Verduzco of St. Paul; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 26 at the Starkson Funeral Home in Hastings, Minnesota. The family invites friends and family to join them for a visitation from 12:30 PM until 2 PM. Services will be live streamed. The funeral will be at 2 PM.
