Glenda J. (Schaap) Tims

Glenda Jane (Schaap) Tims, age 65, died March 14, 2015 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, with family by her side.Glenda was born April 17, 1949 in Worthington, MN to Art and Lorraine (Kunze) Schaap. She was married to Rich Tims on June 19, 1970 in Worthington following her graduation from Mounds Midway nursing school. She was an ER nurse for 17 years and went on to various positions of management for GI facilities. Her last position was as Professional Standards Advisorat MN Gastroenterology corporate office. She loved to care for her flower gardens, play with her grandkids, travel to visit family, and volunteer at the church bookstore. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacey Jane Morgan and sister, Gloria Strandberg. Glenda is survived by her husband Rich; daughter Monica (Chad) Schlemmer; parents Art and Lorraine Schaap; sister Loretta (Dave) Overby; sister Ardella (Dave) Windorski; brother Jeff (Ginger) Schaap; son-in-law Rick (Angie) Morgan and grandchildren Abigail, Caleb, Hannah, Zoe, and Hope. The Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Jim Anderson will be held 10 AM Saturday, March 21 at TheHarbor Church, 11125 W. Point Douglas Rd, Hastings. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday, March 20 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh St, Hastings and one hour prior to the service at church. Private family interment will follow at Leavitt Cemetery,Denmark Township, with Chaplain James Tims, officiating.In lieu of flowers, Glendas family requests memorials be made to her grandchildrens education fund established at MidCountry Bank in Hastings.
