Seibel, Gladys K., age 90 of Mpls.
Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother passed away May 5th, 2011 with her daughter by her side. Gladys was born May 17th, 1920 in Bottineau, ND. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; parents, Alfred & Olga Bareksten; sisters, Martha and Agnes. Survived by daughter, Karen (Loren) Taylor; grandchildren, Sarah (Joshua) Howard, Emily (Ryan) Olson; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Michael, and James; brother, Alfred Bareksten; and sister, Mabel Justus. Gladys graduated from St. Andrews Hospital School of Nursing in Bottineau, ND in 1941. She worked for many years at Lutheran Deaconess Hospital in Minneapolis and then at Augustana Home. She was a strong yet gentle nurse and caregiver. Gladys was a longtime member of Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church. Funeral Service Friday 10 AM, Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Mpls. with visitation 1/2 hour prior to service. Interment Lakewood. Memorials to the donor’s choice. We will greatly miss our Mom, Gran and Great-Gran.
