age 86 formerly of Minneapolis, born December 24, 1923 in Stacy, MN to Emil and Lillie Swanson, passed into eternal life January 9, 2010 at Ramsey County Care Center, Maplewood, MN. Gladys worked as a secretary for the Controller of the Currency in Minneapolis. She was active in her church and enjoyed quilting and gardening. Preceded in death by husband of 47 years, William ?Bill?, and brother, Lloyd Swanson. Gladys is survived by sister-in-law, Ida Swanson and three generations of nieces and nephews. Funeral service is 2:30 PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 31st Street and Chicago Ave. So., Mpls, with visitation one hour before. Interment Glen Haven. Memorials may be made to the church.
