Nygaard, Gilman O.Age 88Of Red WingPassed away June, 20, 2008 at Fairview Hospital in Red Wing. Gilman married Joy on November 27, 1948 in Minot, ND. He worked for Marigold Dairy in Red Wing for 28 years and drove bus in Red Wing for the DAC for the handicapped for 10 years. He loved fishing with his grandkids, metal detecting, traveling, bird watching, visiting with people, playing horseshoes and boating on the Mississippi River. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar & Anna Nygaard; brothers, Kenneth & Wally Nygaard; sister, Mildred Gustafson. He is survived by his wife, Joy; sons Rod (Terri) Nygaard, Cary (Betty) Nygaard; daughter Susan (Roy) Barnes; grandchildren, Jay (Heidi), Heidi (Jason), Darren (Jule), Casey (Kay), Lacey, Lindsey, 9 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Friday June 27, 1:00pm at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Red Wing. Gathering two hours prior to service at the church. Interment following at Oakwood Cemetery.
