Gerald Lyle Thompson

Gerald Lyle Thompson, 51, of Apple Valley, passed away Tuesday, June 30. He was born November 14, 1963 in Minneapolis to Richard and Ruth (nee McArdell) Thompson. Gerald is survived by daughters Jennelle (Giovanni) Velazquez and Megan Thompson; son Jonathan Thompson; granddaughters Lilianna and Nora; parents Richard and Ruth Thompson; sisters Connie Boerner and Barbara (Kevin) Rux; brother Dennis Thompson; brother-in-law Greg Boland; plus nieces and nephews Steve, Scott, and Alisha Boerner, Heather (Matthew) Frisinger, John and Jeff (Jackie) Boland, Danielle and Amy Rux, and Nicole Thompson. He was preceded in death by his sister Janet Boland. Gerald was a kind and compassionate man. He served his country in the United States Army and Air Force during multiple Tours of Duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gerald will be forever loved and treasured. Visitation is scheduled for 4-7 PM, Friday, July 10 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, and 1 hour prior to an 11 AM Memorial Service, Saturday, July 11 at the Mortuary.
