Gerald "Jerry" Frandrup

Gerald �Jerry� Frandrup, age 78, of Hastings died October 7, 2009 at Regina Medical Center.Jerry was born December 11, 1930 in Vermillion Township to Ferdinand and Veronica (Reiter) Frandrup. He married Delores Karnick on August 21, 1954 in Hastings. Jerry was a self-employed excavator and farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Art, Fritz, and Don Frandrup. Jerry is survived by his wife Delores; children Jerry (Brigitte) Frandrup and Helen (Joe) Raway all of Hastings, Jim (Dana) Frandrup of Phoenix, AZ, Joe (Deb) Frandrup of Cottage Grove, Jack Frandrup and Jeff Frandrup both of Hastings, Vickie (Joe) Schweich of Hampton, Missy (Dale) Beissel of Winter, WI, Jay (Janet) Frandrup and Jesse (Velita) Frandrup all of Hastings; 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brother Arvie �Bud� Frandrup of Vermillion and sister Mary Weatherly of Rosemount.The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Mahoney will be held 11am Monday, October 12, 2009 at St. Agatha�s Catholic Church in Coates. The interment will follow in St. John�s Cemetery in Vermillion. The visitation will be held from 4-8pm Sunday and 9:30-10:30am Monday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. 7th St., Hastings. The pallbearers are Brett Frandrup, Jared Frandrup, Keith Frandrup, Chris Frandrup, Weston Frandrup, and Jason Raway.
