Georgianna "Peach" Ellis

Georgianna 'Peach' Ellis, age 86, of Minneapolis, formerly of Hastings, passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2017. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ellis and before him, Donald Nesbitt; parents, Anna and George Drometer; brother, Robert Drometer. Survived by four sons, John, Michael (Kathe), Thomas (Scott), Patrick (Tim); sister, Delores (Don) Schnack, sister-in-law, Lois Drometer; 11 Grandchildren, Matthew, Leslie, Anna, Donald, Sutton; Missy, Jennifer, Brooke, Tara; Sarah and Kathryn; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Peach will be remembered as an avid bridge player, chef extraordinaire and fashionista.She enjoyed being around family back in Minnesota the last four years following an enjoyable 12 year stint in West Palm Beach, FL. In her younger years, Peach and her husband Donald owned and operated the Ellis Funeral Home in Hastings. She took great delight in being crowned Miss Hastings 1953 and modeling opportunities for various clothing stores in the Cities. Peach grew up near Etter, just south of Hastings, and her family ran the Drometer Resort and farm. Most of all, she loved being around her four boys and visits with her grandchildren. A memorial celebration will take place on Friday, (10/27) at 11:00 AM at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. A gathering will take place one hour prior to the celebration. Interment, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery in Hastings. Arrangements are with the Wise Funeral Home, Hastings.
