George Murphy, age 80 of Hastings, passed away December 10, 2007 at home surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by parents, Pat and Inga Murphy; grandson, Craig Wayne Murphy.Survived by wife, Rita (nee Huberty) of Hastings; sons, Bruce (Kellie) of Duluth and Craig Eugene (Susana) of Seattle, WA; daughter, Joan Lyle of CA; stepchildren, Steve (Lydia) McKay of VA; Keith (Belinda) McKay of TX, Laurie (Paul) Chapman of Hastings; grandchildren, Alex and Mack; step-grandchildren, Andrew (Tracy), Allie, Abram, Abby, Nick, Gigi, John, Nicole, Lauren and Breanna; great-grandson, Moses McKay; brothers, Ken (Alice) Murphy of Babbitt, Gene Murphy of Woodbury and Darrell Murphy of Lutsen; sisters, Pat (Tom) Mondeau of Duluth and Sandy Murphy of FL.
