George John Bohlken

George J. Bohlken, age 83 of Hastings died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Regina Hospital. George was born January 16, 1930 in Hastings, MN to George and Evelyn (Estlund) Bohlken. He married Darlene Braun in 1950. George worked at the PeaveyFlour Mill in Hastings for 18 years and then at Smead Mfg. until he retired in 1995. George was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Darlene; sons John (Frannie) of Hastings, special son Greg of Lakeville, Dave (Pam) of Roberts, Dan (Holly) of Hastings and Mike (Heidi) Bohlken of Hastings; grandchildren Zack, Linnzi, Seth, Sam, Andy, Adam, Devin, Dustin, Jacob, Jessica Jared; seven great grandchildren and brother Don (Sandy) Bohlken. Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Jon Zimpelmann will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at St. John�s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 202 West 8th St., Hastings. The visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St., Hastings, and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings. Pallbearers are Zack Bohlken, Seth Bohlken, Sam Bohlken, Andy Bohlken, Adam Bohlken and Devin Bohlken. Honorary Pallbearers are Jake Bohlken, Dustin Bohlken and Jared Bohlken. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
