George Edward Linehan, Jr.

Linehan, George Edward Jr. age 79, of Mpls. Born Oct. 22, 1927 in Mpls. Died April 28, 2007. Preceded in death by wife, Arliss in 1996 and by daughter-in-law Tina. Survived by sons, Robert, Lanny & wife, Ginny, George III; grandson, Michael Edward. George started working after 8th grade. As a Merchant Marine, he sailed all over the world including to both the North and South Poles. He was a proud member of the Int’l Union of Operating Engineers (“49ers”) for many years. His work overseeing the construction of mining equipment took him to sites in Australia, Siberia and South Africa. George worked on many building projects including the IDS Tower in Mpls. Member of the Zuhrah Shrine and the Masons. Private family service. Interment St. Mary’s. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
