Gene A. Braaten

Braaten, Gene A., of Rosemount, passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2013. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly; sister, Marilyn; and his parents, Palmer and Margaret. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda; daughters, Gina and Annette; 6 grandchildren; 12 siblings; and Ezzy the yorkie; close family and friends. Gene was an active employee at Fairview Ridges Hospital for 25 years and worked part-time at St. John the Baptist in Savage. He loved life, especially people and is well known for his smile. A celebration of Gene’s life will be held 12:00 Noon on Friday, Jan. 11 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4625 West 125th St., Savage with a gathering of family and friends Thursday from 4-7 PM in the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th & Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, and one hour prior to the service in the church. Int. St. Patrick’s Cemetery at a later date.
