Gayle Ann Boeke

Gayle Boeke, age 62, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at her home. She was born the daughter of Richard and Carol Boeke on April 13, 1963 in Milwaukee, WI.

Gayle grew up in Osage, IA, graduating from Osage High School, class of 1981. Following high school, Gayle attended Iowa State University and later took administrative schooling, receiving a certificate in that field. She lived in California from 1989 to 1996 and then moved to Minnesota. Gayle worked mainly with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and later worked for UCare of Minnesota.

She loved scrapbooking, traveling, attending Garth Brooks concerts, and going on cruises; but more importantly spending time with Carlene and extended family. She spent most of her youth doing drum corps with the Sky Ryders. She loved attending the Minnesota State Fair. Gayle was thoughtful and compassionate with everyone in her life. When Gayle loved you, she loved you with her heart and soul.

She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Gayle is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Carol. She is survived by her daughter, Carlene; three brothers, David, Bruce, Jim; stepsiblings, Bobbie Ann (Scott) Griffin, Jamie (Kristi) Koenigs, Melissa (Carlos) Thomas, Andrew Koenigs; stepmother, Sharon; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday May 18, 2025 from 1-4PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel (3075 Vermillion Street Hastings MN 55033) with a prayer/memory sharing service at 2:00PM. In honor of Gayle's bright light in our lives, please wear bright colors. The prayer service will be streamed live. Interment will be Hubbard Cemetery in Hubbard, Iowa.
