Gaspar "Gep" Cusumano

GASPAR VINCENZO CUSUMANO Gaspar �Gep� Cusumano, age 89 of Hastings died December 27, 2012 at the Augustana Health Care Center. Gaspar was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 7, 1923 to Calogero and Rosa (Pennino) Cusumano. He married Lee in 1947 in New York. �Gep� was a chef for most of his life. He also loved working for the Hastings Fire Dept. in his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lee; daughter Lisa; and his brother Anthony. Gaspar is survived by sons Charles (Cathy) Cusumano of North Carolina and Gary (Denise) Cusumano of Long Island, NY; special friend LaVaune Larson of Hastings; bonus daughter Gypsi (Ken) LeMoine-Stark of Hastings; grandchildren Donna, Tracy and Michael, Megan, Gary Jr., Chris, Marissa, Alexandra, Cheyenne, Bobbe and Dharma; also nine great-grandchildren and sister Rose Guisto. A Prayer Service will be held 6 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St., Hastings with visitation after 3 PM Wednesday.
