Fred A. Olson

Fred A. Olson, age 52 of Hastings, Minnesota died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on July 4th, 2008. Fred was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents Winton and Edith Olson; sister, Sandra Beauchaine; brother, Vic Olson, Sr.; nephew, Michael O'Dell. He is survived by his wife, Shari (Siebenaler) Olson; children, Gloria Ludvigsen, Troy Olson, James Olson, John Olson, Melissa Olson, Lena Sherry and Bailey Saas; 9 Grandchildren; siblings, Dan (Mary) Olson, Linda (Larry) Baumann, Kris Olson (Fred Green); sister-in-law, Sandy Olson; nieces and nephews; many friends. Fred graduated in 1974 from Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis and worked at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Hastings for 18 years as a maintenance lead worker. Visitation Wednesday (7/9) from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to service on Thursday. Interment Lakeside Cemetery.
