Franklin Van De Steeg

Franklin Van De Steeg, an avid outdoorsman, age 94, of Bloomington, passed away August 7, 2010 at Augustana Health Care Center in Hastings. He was born October 29, 1915 to Frank and Madonna Van De Steeg in Sauk Centre. Franklin married Lorrayne (Gerlach) in Bloomington on November 8, 1941. He loved hunting, fishing, his dogs, and was very active in Boy Scouting. Franklin is preceded in death by his mother, Madonna ( Exford) and father, Frank Van De Steeg of Sauk Centre; and sister, Mary Wruck of Phoenix, Arizona. He is survived by his wife, Lorrayne Van De Steeg of Bloomington; children, Frank (Lyn) Van De Steeg of Hastings; Carl (Judy) Van De Steeg of Farmington; RoxAnn (Dave) Bergquist of Rosemount; grandchildren, Carl (Lisa) Van De Steeg; Heidi (Randy) Langenfeld; Nikki (Kevin) Stephens; Tony (Heidi) Van De Steeg; Rochelle (Steve) Weidall; 12 great grandchildren. Funeral Service officiated by Rev. Connie Claxton, Tuesday (8/10), 11:00 am at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 615 Vermillion St., Hastings. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment will be in Sauk Centre. Pallbearers, Carl Van De Steeg; Heidi Langenfeld; Nikki Stephens; Tony Van De Steeg; Rochelle Weidall; Patrick Weidall; Macy Stephens. Memorials preferred.
