Frank Henry Rechtzigel

Frank Henry Rechtzigel, 99, of Apple Valley, passed away Wednesday. He was born April 16, 1912 in Rich Valley, Minnesota to Wenzel and Maria (nee Niemitz) Rechtzigel. He is survived by sons Gene (Jun) and Donald (Jayne) Rechtzigel, grandchildren Carla, Sara, Jesse, and Jonathan. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, son Arlyn, and grandson Adam. He loved working his family farm for many years in what is now Apple Valley. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, September 17 at the First Baptist Church, 14400 Diamond Path, Rosemount, with visitation 1 hour prior to Saturday’s service at the church. Additional Visitation is scheduled for 10 AM-Noon, Tuesday, September 20, at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley (952) 432-2331. Interment with Honors will follow Tuesday at 12:45 PM in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials requested to the church.
