Frances M. Reinardy

Frances M. Reinardy, age 91, passed away on May 16th at the Regina Nursing Home in Hastings. Frances was born March 26, 1917 in Hastings to Anton and Marjorie (Kutzma) Knoll. She worked at the H.D. Hudson Mfg. Co. in Hastings and as a cook at a bakery and diner. She took care of her 6 brothers and 4 sisters as well as her own 7 children. She married John Reinardy on November 11, 1939 in the St. Boniface church , Hastings. John passed away March 10, 1978. Born to their union are children, Robert (Rosie) Knoll of Welch, Raymond (Bonnie) Reinardy of Hastings, Leroy (Rita) Reinardy of Hastings, Rita (Vine) Wells of Welch, Marlene (Robert) Boothe of Hastings and Lucinda (Tom) Remke of Kendallville, Indiana. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Rowan of Hastings and Patricia Larson of California. Frances was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; daughter, Patricia Owen; grandson, Jon; six brothers, Clarence, Harold, Leonard, George, Raymond, Anthony, Jr.; two sisters, Gertrude Tix, Lucille Denn. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W and American Legion clubs in Hastings.Pallbearers are Ray Knoll, Jr., Randy Knoll, Tom Knoll, Mike Jacobson, Norbert Reinardy and Donald Rowan. A funeral service was held Monday, May 19 at 11:00am at the Wise Family Funeral Home with a visitation starting at 8:00am. Interment St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery.
