Frances "Fran" A. Karnick

Frances A. "Fran" Karnick, age 69, of Hastings and formerly Washington, died Friday, January 1, 2016 at Regina Medical Center, Hastings.Frances Ann, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Ann (Marschall) Karnick, was born on February 20, 1946. She was a longtime employee at Smeads prior to moving to Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents. Frances is survived by her siblings, Mitzi (Bob) Brabec of Hastings, Ed Karnick of Hastings, Irma (Todd) Peine of Cannon Falls and Rollie (Kathy) Karnick of Hastings; her foster daughter, Sara; her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth St., in Hastings. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at church for one hour prior to the service on Friday.Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services in Hastings.
